Eli Roe blends the simple, authentic sounds of strings, reeds & voices. Covering tunes that everyone knows, some of the best songwriters of our lifetime & original music, Eli Roe performances are light, fun & easy on the ears.
Rob Leonard: Vox, Guitar, Cajon Since the crackle of popular music on AM radio, Rob has had a song in his head. Those songs (and a big mouth) meant frequent trips to the principal’s office. But in the early ‘80s, they landed him a gig in his first rock & roll band. A $10 nylon string yard sale gem was traded in for a steel string acoustic, which he still picks today.
Lindsay Bredin: Vox, Cello, Ukulele, Autoharp Circa 1982: While listening to the Sweet Adelines, grandma taught Lindsay the harmonies. Thus uncovered a penchant for pitch-finding that later would manifest in the cello. No frets? No problem! Today, rekindling the spirit of those summers with grandma, Lindsay inspires with all that is right and good about musicianship.
Eric Bredin: Mandolin, Harmonica, Ubass, Squeezebox In the spirit of “didn’t see that coming,” mom gifted Eric, on his 19th birthday, a “learn-to-play harmonica” kit, complete with play-along cassette tape. With an abundance of determination, Eric found a blues riff before the tape was devoured. Such was the birth of Eli Roe’s swiss-army knife (that guy can play just about anything).
